MTV EMA's at Belfast!!!

As a Northern Irelander I thought this was brilliant, I can't even wait to write about all the celebs I seen! I'm now addicted to Selena Gomez songs, God bless her doing an epic fail at the Northern Irish saying "keep er lit" she put on an english accent and said "keep it lit" haha I cringe watching it to be honest. Anyway I seen her! Literally 2 metres away from me that is how close Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were away from me people! I didn't get a picture though, my friend was staying at the Europa Hotel where the after party was at and not even the residents were allowed to watch the celebs walk into the Lobby, Selena and Justin walked to the lift so quick if i went to grab my camera I would have missed them. They are soo GOOD LOOKING IN REAL LIFE! So the residents where forced to either go out or go to their rooms so we chose to go outside. on our way out we seen LMFAO!! and I also seen BB from dirty sexy things! walked rigtht by me in the street. Brain May walked around the crowd and touched my hand ino sad to say OMG! but it was soo awesome. I also seen katy Perry she looked like a little doll with her pink hair and my friend Raynor met LMFAO and Katy! well she met more :( but they were the biggest names. We were also on the BBC news how freakin Awesome! The screens at the Venue were taken down so we didnt get to watch the EMA's , And also I mastered the rap in the EMA advert that Selena sings :)

R.I.P Ammie Rebecca Rea

On Sunday the 4th December my friend Ammie, was in a car accident with her boyfriend. She died instantly but her boyfriend is still in hospital. Ammie always had a smile on her face and truely touched soo many lives, her smile was perfect and lovable, it was her best feature and it is what she will be remembered for. Such a happy, funloving and joyfilled person, she didn't deserve to die in this tragic event. Her funeral was Yesterday Wednesday 7th November, it was such a sad day and it really was one of the worst days of my life. The funeral was lovely everyone said such kind words of Ammie including her daddy who said that he couldn't have asked for a better daughter and that she loved everyone as she ouzed with LOVE. This was soo true and everyone there knew it. She was more than a daughter to her parents she was her mums bestfriend and her daddys little princess who he spoilt rotten until the end. Nobody could  have been spoilt more than Ammie and still turn out the was she did a lovely Beautiful girl that had everything going for her, good memroies with this girl, watch over us until we meet again and I promise you we will, Spread your new wings and fly Angle your free now. To soon Ammie Rebecca Rea, you will be sadly missed but never forgotten <3

Hollyoaks Report

I assume those of you that are reading this have seen the Oaks this week? If you haven't then let me catch you up. Sila's father of Heidi has killed again and what a shocker it was, turns out he was planning to kill Lyndsey and whilst he strangled the catwoman the audience was torn, was it Lyndsey or Texas? WRONG! It was his beloved daughter Heidi. Do I hear an Epic Fail here? Yep he killed his own daughter. Shit one if you will :) but I will miss her she was like the bitchy, funny mum you had to like, she was the typical mother character.

I , for one, will miss our Heidi lots. But what will you miss most about the one and only Yummy Mummy Heidi Costello?

Heidi Costello was so many things, to so many people...
She was a (very) forgiving wife and and an...er hands on, employer (just ask Gaz)...
Primarily though, she was a loving mother to three. Her relationship with son Jason was, at times, a fraught one, but she was always proud of her boys...
Heidi was also a much-doted on daughter - the apple of her father Silas' eye...
After vowing to protect his daughter forever, this week Silas committed perhaps his most heinous crime yet, when he took her light away forever. You get the sense that the cosmos may just be issuing Silas with one major kick in the teeth here for his many crimes...


If only she'd not gone out that night! If only she'd been more original in her choice of Halloween costume. But then, perhaps, we'd be mourning the death of Lynsey instead...#conflicted and we wouldn't want that! Not my very own Northern Irish Gal.

Anyway whats happened during the week? well the Costello's family morned and blamed eachother for the loss of their mother, Carl comes back and Sila's goes down! Turns out he kept all the jewlery of all the girls he murdered in his wives ashes! Sick or what! And Lyndsey gets her own back on the women that never believed her telling them to stay away from her as they have blood on their hands, and I have to say I love that quote. Meanwhile Mercedes is still trapped in the Cellar but no one knows, most viewers would assume she had been killed but I had hope and she is ok but will the baby be ok by the time they find her? Stay tuned!

Character Influence - Amy

(BCS & Possible BCS Later Character)

Hannah Ashworth, Pandora Moon & Cassie Ainsworth

 

 I was inspired by the skins characters 'Cassie Ainsworth and Pandora Moon' and Hollyoaks character 'Hannah Ashworth' for Amy's character, which will be the schools popular kooky girl. When first seeing Hannah, Pandora and Cassie's characters I imidiatly wanted to combine their Personalities. Amy will be seen as a NUTTER like all three characters I have choosen and seen as a good girl and very sensitive like all the characters.

Amy's costume will be a school uniform seeing how she is a 6th form student, with a Very short skirt a small leather jacket, a low cut white belly top instead of shirt and high heels to show she is fashionable in school. Outside of school Amy, like hannah she doesnt want anyone to notice so she dresses slutty and also has a wacky fashion sense like Pandora and Cassie. I want to keep the same conventions of a young, popular, white, teenage girl.
For the personality I think a mixture of all the characters would be good for the character as they are all very emotional characters and I think their personalities would look well mixed as two of them go through anorexia and I want Amy to have that story line.

The three characters hair and jewelery convey someone with confidense abut its not really saying look at me! but more this is me! and I want Amy to have nice hair as she hides it away, therefor I have decided to use big messy hair, short skirts and a lot of Jewlery and bright and wacky makeup .

Cassie is introduced as a the anorexic case nutter student unlike Hannah who is introduced as a normal middle class girl and I want Amy to be like Pandora as she is the perfect mixture, Nutter but not ill and middle classed and popular. Amy like Hannah initially appears to be normal but then we find out what is going on in her head as the series develops.

Hollyoaks Alert!

silas strikes again tonight in the two part episode that has continued from friday night, but I was bad and watched the first look! and the TWIST! A SHOCKER TO SAY THE LEAST! who does loving Grandad Silas Blissett murder? will it be One of the THREE cat women? yes thats right 3! will there be a mistake and murder the wrong girl? well of course he does I'VE SEEN IT! and as a Hollyoaks superfan this is such an episode so do not miss it and tomorrow nights episode, I WILL WATCH YOU TONIGHT! At the end of fridays episode we find out that Amy and Thereasa are safe so that just leaves Lynsey and Texas.

Having brutally murdered India and Jenny, not to mention Rae he has since occupied himself with tormenting Lynsey, who he tried, but failed to kill!
Alas, he has found himself at the wrong end of a coronary heart problem, which means that time is ticking out for this killer grandad. Is he going go out with a bang or will be caught before he can take anymore lives?

Character Influence - Karmen

(BCS & BCS Later Character)

Jal Fazer & Nancy Hayton

I have decided to base Karmen's character on Hollyaoks character 'Nancy Hayton' and skins character 'Jal Fazer' as they are portrayed as the 'good girl'. Like my character Karmen, she too comes from a good family and strong background as I have made my characters Mother famous like Jal's father. However only when Karmen moved to BCS her life take a huge turning point and she discovers herself. When first seeing Jal and Nancy's characters I wanted to combine their Personalities as Jal is a musicain and Nancy wanted to be a journalist when she was at school.

Karmen  is a good girl that loves music and she has a great heart, she is just as emotional as the other characters but she tries to act strong as she is a feminist like Nancy.

Karmen's costume will be a school uniform seeing how she is a 6th form student,she has a basic uniform she wears a short skirt, shirt and tie, as she wears what the school asks. Outside of school she will wear urban and out there clothes to prove her individualism.

For the personality I think a mixture of Jal and Nancy makes for a good character as they are both very emotional characters and Nancy is very stuborn and I want Karmen to be these things too.

Nancy and Jal's hair and jewelery convey someone with attitude and I want the same for Karmen, therefor I have decided to use wavy hair, short skirts and a lot of wacky clothes to show this girl has a mind of her own.

Jal  and Nancy are introduced as Feisty, funny and opinionated and I want Karmen to be like this too. Nancy and Jal are not the Queen Bee's of the school and they are in their own little friend groups. Jal and Nancy knew what they wanted and how they were going to get it  and the same goes for my character.

I chose these particulate characters as when they were on the show or in Nancy's case when she was at school I loved their personalities, and I wanted Karmen to pull the same affect on my audience. So I thought that I would imitate the same personality but like Nancy a weird style with an added urban twist.

Effy Stonem & Naomi Clark

 

I was inspired by the skins characters 'Effy Stonem' and 90210 character 'Naomi Clark' for Leighs character, which will be the schools popular rich girl. When first seeing Naomi and Effy's characters I imidiatly wanted to combine their Personalities and dress Leigh like Naomi. Leigh will be seen as Queen Bee like Effy and Naomi and seen as a good girl but also kind of 'mean girl strike' like both characters.

Leigh's costume will be a school uniform seeing how she is a 6th form student, with a short skirt a long cardigan and high heels to show she is fashionable in school. Outside of school Leigh will wear clothes like Naomi sometimes but also clothes like Effy to show she isn't just a little spoilt rich girl. I want to keep the same conventions of a young, popular, white, rich teenage girl.

For the personality I think a mixture of Effy and Naomi would be good for the character as they are both very emotional characters and I think their personalities would look well mixed.

Naomi and Effy's hair and jewelery convey someone with a lot of attitude and I want the same for Leigh, therefor I have decided to use big hair like the girl, short skirts and a lot of exspensive Jewlery to show a rich girl that bends the rules.

Naomi is introduced as a privileged student unlike Effy and I want Leigh to be privileged to. Leigh like Naomi initially appears to be snobbish and shallow, Naomi is also very popular and I would like to make Leigh like her. Throughout the series Naomi's character developed and we find that she is actually a very kind and thoughtful friend, this is the same story as Leigh.

Effy Stonem, Maxine Barlow & Michelle Richardson 

I was inspired by the skins characters 'Effy Stonem and Michelle Richardson'  and Waterloo Road character 'Maxine' for Kims character, which will be the schools popular bully/I do what I want girl. When first seeing Maxine and Effy's characters I imidiatly wanted to combine their dress sense and dress Kim like them. Kim will be seen as Queen Bee like Effy and Michelle and seen as a chav like Maxine.

Maxine's costume is a school uniform with a short skirt and different colour jumper to show she is rebellious. Kim's costume will be a school uniform seeing how she is a 6th form student, with a short skirt a jumper vest and lots of necklices like Effy. I want to keep the same conventions of a young, popular, white, middle class teenage student.

For the personality I think a mixture of Effy and Michelle would be good for the character as they are both very emotional characters. Although I dont think that Michelle's appearence will reflect in Kim.

Maxine and Effy's hair and jewelery convey someone with a lot of attitude and I want the same for Kim, therefor I have decided to use Effy like hair, short skirts and a lot of broght Jewlery to show a rebelious rule breaking girl.

Mel & Sophie Burton

I was inspired by the skins characters 'Katie and Emily Fitch'  and Hollyoaks characters 'Sophie and Mel Burton' for my twins Kaylie and Hayley characters although my twins are identical but they have different hair colours as they dye their hair, like both sets of the tv twins in their later years on the shows.

I chose to base the characters mainly on the skins twins but I also think that a part of the hollyoaks twins personalities would reflect well on my characters. Mel Unlike Sophie, was quiet and introverted and often felt inferior to her more outgoing sister and this is what i want Hayleys character to be like, and this is also the case of Katie and Emily. Mels character was seen as the 'ugly' twin which is what I want my character Hayley to be seen as to the other characters in the show, but the audience would disagree I assume.

They will be the schools popular pretty bully/bitch that doesn't care about school and only being popular and the less popular embaressing christian/grade A student.

When first seeing Katies character I imidiatly wanted to dress Kaylie like this too as Katie is seen as a 'mean girl', whereas when i first saw Emilys outfit i wanted to dress Hayleys character in the same type of clothes as her.

Katies costume is a combination of slutty clothes, whilst Kaylies school uniform is also slutty with a very short skirt, very low buttoned shirt and high heels to show she is rebellious, she also wears clothes like Katie outside of school. 

Emilys costume is a combination of fashionable urban clothes, while Haylies school uniform is perfect top button and long shirt, she also wears clothes like Emily outside of school.

Katies hair and jewelery convey someone with a lot of attitude and creates a glamourous look, and I want the same for my character, therefor I have decided to use exspensive earrings and dyed blonde, curled hair like Sophie, short skirts and a lot of bright colours to show an attention seeking teenage girl.

Emilys hair and jewelery convey someone with very low confidense, this is also like Mel's character I want the same for my character Hayley, i have decided to use minimum jewelery and wavy hair like Mel, long shirt and wearing nothing to attract a lot of attention to her.

Hollyoaks Later 2009 final part

I love this end part soo much, The part when Hannah finds out Sarah is dead makes my heart sink, it's soo sad and I think that Emma Rigby's acting is amazing, she really made me believe that Sarah died. This was by far the best Hollyoaks Later because there was soo much going on, I also LOVE the part when Cindy says 'suckers' but im sorry to everyone who loves the song that got cut out for copy right reasons. I  actually love this last scene of Hollyoaks as it shows a lot of emotions in it there is happiness because of the wedding and saddness because of Sarahs death.

Hollyoaks Later Trailer and Hollyoaks Best Bits

I thought that adding some of hollyoaks best moments would insight the viewer of what big story lines I would like and have in mind to add to my show. I found this video on youtube and I thought that it was very important to put this on to discribe what plots I would use such as : the explosion in the bar, the rape, the gay storyline, anorexic storyline, pregnant storyline, MURDERS and a car crash.

The Hollyoaks Later trailer, at first glanced seems very disturbed but also quite fun, as it starts of as Carmel walks in the village and says 'where is everyone?' to herself, this is suppose to be a joke to the audience as the village is always busy and she is one of the only characters not actually in Hollyoaks Later. The trailer looks very upbeat with all the characters partying and having fun going of places away from the village, and it ends in a very disturbing way showing the viewer that something is obviously going to go wrong. This trailer of Hollyoaks Later dominantly conveys emotions and characters through camera work and sound.

The shots in this trailer are only a couple seconds long which makes the scenes exciting, additionally it reflects on the situation as everyone is partying and getting out of the village. It reinforces the idea that they is having fun and letting lose. 

The music makes the trailer more upbeat/intense which is strange as the two don't go very well together as they are completely oposite to one another. This continues the theme as its the same music as the actual soap would use.

The trailer portrays the storyline through the main characters, this takes the viewer through each of the four storylines, which I think is effective because it helps create a division between each storyline as they are very different. Therefor I have decided to do it this way because then our target audience can relate to the soap because every teenger has problems such as the ones in skins.
The trailers follow the conventions of a soap as it uses only the important shots from the series getting the main storylines, giving it a lot of impact, this leads the audience to carry on watching. The other conventions it follows is the music they use is dramatic by the end of the trailer.
In the trailer it says 5 NIGHTS, 4 STORIES, 1 WEDDING, AND A TWIST! all these make the viewer want to watch over the five nights to find out what the 4 stories are to watch the wedding and to see what the twist is. This makes the viewer wonder what storyline the big twist is in.

I like Hollyoaks and I think it is a very good show for teenagers as it is about young people living in a small Village this would appeal to other young people with the same issues. I will be using the same type of plots as Hollyoaks as they reflect on real life situations for young people.

Skins series 1 and 3 Trailers

The Skins trailers, at first glanced seems very disturbed, as it consists of naked, drunk teenagers kissing each other. These trailers of skins dominantly conveys emotions and characters through camera work and sound. The opening scenes for Series 1 trailer consists of a lot of partying, drug taking and characters having sex.

The shots in this trailer are only a couple seconds long which makes the scenes exciting, additionally it reflects on the situation as everyone is having sex and taking drugs. It reinforces the idea that they is having fun and going wild. 

The use of non diegetic sound of the dialogue is very helpful as it explains the narrative, moreover it adds validity because we hear it from the character. Furthermore the music makes the trailers more intense and continues the theme as its the same music as the actual soap.

I like skins and I think it is a very good show for teenagers as it is about teen life in and out of collage which would appeal to other teenagers with the same issues. I will be using the same type of plots as skins as they reflect on real life situations for teenagers, as my show is about the students of the school. Although I will not so much as copy the storylines, but I actually didn't watch skins before so I thought of the storylines myself but I have only realised they have been done by other shows.

Waterloo Road Trailer

The shots in this trailer are only a couple seconds long which makes the scene chaotic, additionally it reflects on the situation as everyone is worried and scared about a gun being in school and the school is also on fire. It reinforces the idea that she is confused and scared.

There are a few diegetic sounds like the gunshot, screaming and some dialogue but its dominated by non diegetic sound. The use of non diegetic sound of the dialogue is very helpful as it explains the narrative, moreover it adds validity because we hear it from the character. Furthermore the music makes the trailer more intense and continues the theme as its the same music as the actual soap.
The trailer portrays the storyline through the head teachers point of view, which we think is effective because it helps create a division between the teachers perspective and the pupils actions. However we have decided not to do it this way because then our target audience cannot relate to the soap.
The trailer follows the conventions of a soap as it uses only the dramatic shots from the series, giving it a lot of impact, this leads the audience to carry on watching. The other conventions it follows is the music they use is upbeat reflecting the messy situations, the mess camera shots also reflect this.

I like Waterloo road and I think it is a very good show for all ages as it is about teen life in school which would appeal to young people and it is also about the teachers so it would get older people watching it as the teachers lives may be like their own. I will not be using the same type of plots as Waterloo road as most are about the teachers, whereas my show is about the students of the school. Although I will feature the storyline such as a school fire involving the nine main characters and some recurring characters. 

 Show Influence's

The shows I was influenced by were mainly 'Waterloo Road, skins and Hollyoaks (Explosive plots preferibly Hollyoaks Later)'. I would base my show more on skins, set in school and the characters live in a small town like hollyoaks. I based my characters on both series 1 and 3 characters of skins. As the shows i mentioned are for teenagers and I feel this would interest the target audience of teenagers for my show. I chose these shows because the characters are always changing so the show could continue for a long time and all of these shows are very successful and are long running.

I was inspired to do the same kind of plots especially 'Hollyoaks' (murder, rape etc) , and therefor my characters will come from an average small town or village like Hollyoaks. In these trailers we also see a troubled homes and People but also a lot of fun, which I also have decided to include in the show. My favorite plots are the love and mysterious man themes and and thought that to appeal to the audience which is of the age group, I had to include romance too.

Also the fact that the shows are set in small normal places in England also attracted me to watch them, as my one is in the same sort of setting. In addition to it being in places like Bristol, A small Village and small town, the shows really capture the feel of young culture with the use of language and music, which I also want to portray. Therefor I decided to set it mostly around school, town and clubs, as our characters are 16/17 in 6th form as that is where most teenagers hang around. The characters will have basic sets e.g. the common room, their houses, local caffes and clubs in town.

Hollyoaks Needs to be on DVD!

Hollyoaks 2007! the best year of hollyoaks history! I am currently watching them on youtube you know as you do Im at the Mcdean part of 2007 and they are about to get caught out! meanwhile Hanna is slowly becoming anorexic and bulimic. I never really noticed how the class of 2007 were actually friends, now one is dead, three left and one still lives in the Village. The characters were also soo much better back then if the writers just kept repeating the storylines (which they kind of do in different ways) it would be really good! If you are a big Hollyoaks Junky you would like me also love something amazing like a school fire with the new teenage cast! they have to have a massive plan for them, why else would the writers add about 6 new characters to the teenage cast?

Two months of hanging out, chasing girls and getting into mischief beckon for these boys, who are all set for time of their lives. But things have a habit of not quite working out the way they expect: no one mentioned that the kids they'd be looking after would be that annoying...

THE UNION JACK DRESS!

Making clothes would not be my strong point but i'm willing to give it a go! for my upcoming music video well with the help of my friend and star of the video Bethany. she will be playing Cher Lloyd as my video is Swagger Jagger! hense the outfit below we want to get wacky styles for the video like in the actual one!

Dirty Sexy Things

After seeing the latest episode of Dirty Sexy Things i realised that I am quite like Jesse because in the episode he auditioned to be a T4 presenter and that is exactly what I want to do. I hope he got the job, I think he'd be really good at it aswell but i'm not sure he got it I also think he was a bit wooden sorry Jess :/ but hopefully he got it!

he tweeted me resently about his band LUX. they are quite good actually so even if he didnt get the T4 job he has a chance of becoming a famous singer.

Speaking of "Cheryl" Cher Lloyd has her own song out now Swagger Jagger, most people say they don't like it because they don't like Cher but give it a while and they will be humming it and saying its not a bad tune i just don't like her, believe me everyone that has told me they hate it has come round eventually. I for one cannot wait until her Album is out hopefully it is this month. Cher has also managed to get on the cover of Bliss magazine and by the looks of things she has her very own Swagger style and I think it's quite nice.
